Diplomats based in Rabat commended Morocco's significant achievements under the leadership of King Mohammed VI on Wednesday, during the Throne Day celebrations, referring to it as an example of comprehensive progress.
During remarks to the media at the event hosted by His Majesty the King on the same day, the diplomats expressed their sincere congratulations and good wishes to the Monarch, highlighting that the Kingdom has seen continuous progress over the last twenty-six years, fueled by major initiatives shaped by the insightful Vision of HM the King.
In this context, the Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon, Mohamadou Youssifou, emphasized the significant initiatives launched under the guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in the economic, social, political, and cultural areas.
He mentioned that the observance of Throne Day presents a fresh chance to strongly acknowledge the energy and changes happening in Morocco.
In this context, Youssifou expressed approval for the significant projects initiated in preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the FIFA 2030 World Cup, which will take place in Morocco, especially the upgrading and building of stadiums to accommodate these major events.
He also commended Morocco's vision and dedication to enhancing South-South collaboration and reinforcing ties with African nations.
From his perspective, Julien-Vincent Brunie, the interim Dean of the European Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, pointed out that the commemoration of the glorious Throne Day offers a chance to emphasize Morocco's progress, guided by the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
"Throne Day is an important occasion that showcases the Kingdom's advancements across different areas since the Sovereign took the throne," said Brunie.
In a comparable statement, Ambassador Li Changlin, the Dean of the Asian Diplomatic Corps and Chinese envoy, mentioned that since the King's coronation, the Kingdom has consistently expanded its global alliances, while also praising the strong ties between Morocco and China.
Changlin mentioned, in this context, the visit by HM the King to China in 2016, which led to the creation of a strategic alliance with Chinese President Xi Jinping, highlighting that this partnership "is starting to show results."
From his perspective, the interim Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen, Ezzedine Saïd Ahmed Al Asbahi, stated that Morocco distinguishes itself regionally due to its distinctive experience, especially in the field of development, and mentioned that it has undergone a significant rise in recent years.
The groundbreaking Moroccan approach, rooted in embracing diversity, maintaining economic growth, and engaging globally, serves as a model for neighboring nations, he stated.
Similarly, Al Asbahi noted that Morocco presents a "true model" of harmony, conversation, stability, and democratic progress.
Reverend Pastor Karen Thomas Smith, leader of the Evangelical Church in Morocco, shared her delight in joining the Moroccan people in celebrating the magnificent Throne Day festivities.
She expressed her sincere appreciation to HM King Mohammed VI for His Highness's kindness toward churches in Morocco, emphasizing the peaceful environment of mutual respect within the nation, which she considers a shining example of harmony widely recognized around the world.
