In line with his ongoing initiatives to connect with the people he represents, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency stopped by a church in Abelemkpe to interact with the local community.
On Monday, July 28, 2025, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture posted a video on his official Instagram account showing him dancing with a group of older women in front of the other churchgoers during a worship and praise session.
As the women surrounded him, John Dumelo tried to demonstrate his Agbadza dance abilities, which he found difficult to perform, resulting in amusing responses.
The member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon later learned some valuable lessons from the women during a lively and enjoyable interaction with his constituents at Abelemkpe.

In the caption of his Instagram post, John Dumelo urged Ghanaians to evaluate his dancing abilities.

John Dumelo's visit to the church in Abelemkpe occurred several months following his participation with the Believers' Bible Christian Church Missions Outreach on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
The assistant minister for food and agriculture was observed participating in the rhythmic hand percussion during the worship and praise session.
He and several other women stood in front of the church as they played the musical instrument while singing and dancing.

In a picture he posted on Facebook, the politician was seen delivering 500 bags of 5-kilogram rice to the Dean of Students, Professor Rosina Kyerematen.
