The local government workforce council announced 51 open positions across different sectors, such as finance, healthcare, and teaching.

An advertisement published in the Daily Nation on Wednesday, July 23, called for applications from skilled and eligible individuals for the following roles

Positions held under a local agreement are:

  • Specialist in Medicine (Radiologist) - 1 position
  • Orthopedic Medical Expert - 1 Position
  • General Doctor - 1 position
  • Oncology Medical Expert - 1 Position

Posts held under a permanent and pension-eligible contract are:

  • Public Health Officer III - 15 Positions
  • Instructor III for Youth Polytechnic (Carpentry and Joinery) - 2 positions
  • Third-Level Youth Polytechnic Instructor (Plumbing and Pipefitting) - 1 Position

How to apply for positions in Turkana County

The position information can be found on the Turkana County website and the National Employment Authority (NEA) site.

The Turkana County Public Service Board called on all eligible and prospective applicants to submit their written applications, resumes, copies of diplomas, references, and other pertinent paperwork by Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

The application must include the job role you (the applicant) are seeking (written on the left side of the envelope) and should be submitted either by mail or delivered to the local offices.

As stated by career development expert Simon Ingari, those interested in applying are advised to submit their applications promptly to prevent issues with delivery services.

"Submit your application once it's completed. Avoid waiting until the last minute to prevent system issues or outages, as well as courier delays (if submitting a physical copy is necessary)," stated Ingari in an exclusive interview with zaia news.co.ke.
