On Saturday, police issued an appeal regarding the movements of a silver Mercedes between Maguiresbridge and Newtownbutlerthe day prior to the shootings.

Sara and James attended Enniskillen Royal Grammar School and were once students at Maguiresbridge Primary School in their hometown.

Crowds of people gathered for a ceremony to honor the familyat the primary school's campus on Friday.

A number of high-ranking political figures were in attendance while religious leaders spoke at the gathering, and a moment of silence was observed to honor the victims.

The children's mother hailed from Barefield, County Clare, in the Republic of Ireland.

A religious gathering was held on Sunday night at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in the village.

During the ceremony, the parish priest from Barefield, Fr Tom Fitzpatrick, addressed the attendees:

Let us recall Vanessa not only for the manner of her passing, but for the life she led, her smile, her resilience, and her extraordinary loving devotion to her children.

She put everything she had into it until the end.

"We recall James and Sara, not only as victims of violence, but as children who played, laughed, and had their favorite stories, along with their favorite foods, no doubt, and wonderful dreams," he added.

Visions that will remain unachieved, yet held significance as they belonged to them.
