Speaking to The Mirror, Jack Bootle, head of specialist factual commissioning at the BBC, called Parenthood 'wonderful, warm, engaging, and surprising'.
He mentioned that it is "created by some of the top wildlife filmmakers globally," and added, "I'm excited that Sir David is returning to narrate it."
Director Jeff Wilson stated that the entire team is 'extremely proud' of Sir David's participation in the series.
'Silverback Films conducted an in-depth exploration of the topic over 2.5 years, revealing remarkable new behaviors and stunning narratives through the work of the world's top wildlife filmmakers and directors,' he explained.
We are extremely pleased that Sir David was involved in bringing to the screen a significant series that offers something for all – instances of touching warmth, intense storytelling, and a relevant insight from a large group of remarkably captivating characters on how to deal with the complicated realm of Parenthood.
This follows David's latest documentary,Ocean, coincided with the broadcaster and biologist’s 99th birthday.
