"First Him": Trump Mocked for Reviving Presidential Fitness Test in Schools

The administration of President Donald Trump has chosen to bring back the Presidential Fitness Test, a program that was previously administered to students in U.S. schools up until 2013.

The action was quickly ridiculed by observers who wanted to highlight that Trump's physical condition may not be a standard to follow — even though the president has previously boasted about his health.

The initiative was renamed the Presidential Youth Fitness Program, which considered each student's personal evaluation and objectives instead of comparing students with one another.

"The initiative reduces the comparison among children and instead encourages students to focus on individual fitness objectives for long-term well-being," stated the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion.website says.

Civil rights activist Tara Blunthighlighted that the program Trump will return to once "shamed children, overlooked neurodiversity, and assessed value through push-ups rather than overall well-being."

She said, "This isn't related to health. It's about control, longing for the past, and political performances disguised as 'fitness.' If you truly cared about children, you would support school meals, inclusive physical education, trauma-sensitive teaching, and mental health resources—not bring back a test that made half the students feel like they had failed."

Leader of the New York Health InitiativeMelanie D'Arrigo couldn't helpbut keep in mind that all of this is happening at a time when Trump is also reducing assistance to children.

"Reintroducing the Presidential Fitness Test while cutting healthcare and food aid for children is similar to a president vowing to release the Epstein files — only to hide them to shield pedophiles because his name is also involved," she posted on X.

It faced ridicule directed at both Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Psychiatrist Christopher Rodgman, MD inquired, "Question: has Donald Trump, a remarkable physical presence, personally taken this presidential fitness test?"

He later addedIt's amusing to picture Trump attempting 10 push-ups.

There were several photos of Trump posted online, many of which depicted the 79-year-old in an unflattering light.

"First him," shared an X user known as Miss Claudia Menlo.

Others urged that Trump be made to take the test personally, with some calling on him topass only one of the criteria, such as 10 chin-ups.

"I will not criticize him for the remainder of his term if Trump participates in the Presidential Fitness Test live on national television," promised appellate lawyer Peter J. Tomasek.

However, Trump's health was not the sole target of mockery. RFK Jr.'s past as a drug user and other reckless actions also became subjects of scorn.
